Poppies in the Spring

"Poppies in the Spring"

Done with acrylic paints from a reference picture I took at the conservatory at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I haven't painted flowers in a long time and maybe it's because I'm working on my garden but I'm on a flower craze right now.

Main Street Station DL

"Main Street Station at Disneyland"

I drew this in about two days, this was more done for the sake of fun and to see if I can still draw buildings. I haven't done a building since I finished "This is Phantom Manor" months ago. This was a lot of fun and before you ask why the picture looks weird it's because I hung it upside-down on my drawing board then took the picture. I tried it right-side-up but you couldn't see the flag or top of the clock tower.

Tiger Lady

"The Tiger Lady"

From the Haunted Mansions of Disneyland and Walt Disney World. She is located in the hallway of the Que from the Stretching Room/The Gallery to the Doom Buggies. For this I used gauche and it took about 3 1/2 days.

The Still Life

The following still life's where all completed in the spring of 2011. The medium is charcoals.

"Onions with Jar"

"Harvest Tea"

"Making Pasta"

"Water Glass by the Garden"

The Mansions

Allow me to start by saying I am a huge fan of the Disney Haunted Mansions. I have used the three designs in my works at school and they are easily some of my favorite accomplishments.
"Line art of the Disneyland Haunted Mansion"
Steadler Pens, Winter 2011

My favorite piece ever.
"This is Phantom Manor"
Steadler Pens, Winter 2011, Final Project
Phantom Manor is located in Disneyland Paris and it's the only mansion with a solid story line.

"That Old Dark House"
This was actually a final project for my Typography class, in Spring of 2011. This Picture was taken by my dad in 2010 during our first trip to Walt Disney World. The fonts here are Gracy's Curse and Constantia. What is being said on my picture is actually an opening from an early story for the Haunted Mansion:
"Have you ever seen a haunted house? You know the kind I mean. That old dark house that's usually at the end of a dimly lite street. The owners haven't been seen for years; no one really knows why. The windows are broken and boarded and the shutters hang loose on their hinges. The trees have grown wild; their branches brush against the sides of the weathering house making strange noises in the night. There is a high vine-covered fence around the property. Is it there to keep somebody out?
Or is it there to keep some thing inside?"
